The idea was born during the Aardman Animation masterclass: Directing for a Short Film. Diving back into directing a small story was a lot of fun. Being able to jump aboard Columbus's ships or meet Napoleon, and to return to inventing after so many commissioned projects, felt like an unexpected burst of creative freedom. For now, it’s just in pre-production... but who knows what could happen next?
